Shrinking Archive is a creative response and collection of research exploring the Fens. Often slipping through the gaps of archives, tourism, knowledge and creative attention the Fens are often defined by their emptiness.

This website and associated work collates histories, stories, film and art from this rich area thinking especially in relation to the current climate crisis.

The archive is created by artist, researcher, curator, Martha Cattell who grow up in the Fens. This is only just the start and will be added to and grown, hopefully with the help of contributions for other fen dwellers and their memories and images.
